I was born and raised in Mound Bayou, Mississippi. After graduating from high school, I attended Delta State University and received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I am entering my 18th year of teaching. I have taught grades K-6th within my eighteen years of teaching. However, I must say my favorite grade has been kindergarten while at White Station Elementary for the past six years! While teaching, I have also obtained a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix and a Master of Information Systems Management from Keller Graduate School of Management.
I am the mother of three children and my youngest is 14 years old. They are the reason I teach and my children have made me the patient person I am.
